FAQ
Questions, answered straight.
What NuGrade is, what it is not, and what a buyer can verify from a public report.
What is NuGrade?
NuGrade is an AI-assisted comic book grading app for raw comics. It guides owners through phone photos and videos, then produces a point-in-time 10-point grade report with cited evidence and a QR-verifiable public link.
Can I grade a comic book from photos and videos?
Yes. NuGrade is built for comic grading from guided phone captures: front cover, back cover, corners, centerfold, spine video, and flip-through video. The report keeps that media attached so buyers can inspect the evidence behind the grade.
How much does NuGrade comic grading cost?
NuGrade uses credits. A single credit is $5, a 5-credit collector bundle is $20, and a 20-credit dealer bundle is $70. One credit creates one comic grading report.
How long does NuGrade comic grading take?
The capture flow is designed to take less than three minutes for a prepared raw comic. The finished report includes the grade, defect notes, cited evidence, a QR code, and a downloadable PDF.
Is NuGrade a replacement for professional encapsulation?
For most raw-book use cases, yes. NuGrade attaches a verifiable grade to a book with photo and video evidence on a public report, which is what collection inventory, sales prep, and pre-purchase verification usually need. Professional encapsulation still wins for investment-grade books where the holder itself is part of resale value, restoration screening, and tamper-evident custody. For everything else, NuGrade gives you the grade and evidence without the wait, shipping, or encapsulation cost.
How does a buyer trust the report?
The report opens from a public URL, shows when it was graded, keeps the submitted media attached, and cites defects back to specific photos or videos.
How is NuGrade different from other AI comic grading apps?
NuGrade is built around a full guided capture, not just a front-cover photo. The submission includes video passes and page-by-page evidence, so defects can be cited back to the media buyers can inspect.
What if my captures are bad?
The app checks for common capture problems before submission. If something still slips through, NuGrade can surface evidence limits and supports one free re-shoot retry per report.
Will my grade change later?
No. Existing reports are immutable point-in-time assessments. If you regrade the same book later, that produces a new report with its own ID.
Does a buyer need the app?
No. Buyers can scan a QR code or enter the short report ID in a browser. Viewing and verifying a public report does not require an account.
